Drill-Ex International was founded by Richard Jack Rose in 2009 with the express purpose of signing on as drilling contractor for Lydian Resources International's project at Amulsar, Armenia.

Prior to Drill-Ex International, Richard Rose founded and was the sole owner and director of:

• International Drilling Services, LTD (BVI)
• International Drilling Services, DOO (SERBIA)
• Drilling Services Bulgaria, OOD

All the assets of the above companies were sold to Capital Drilling, LTD in 2008.

In founding Drill-Ex International Richie is repeating his successful formula of combining hands on management with broad knowledge and skill acquired over 23 years in the industry. Richie runs his company from the field, spending as much time as possible on the rigs. He keeps in constant contact with on-site client representatives to ensure operations are smooth and the client is getting what he is paying for. Thanks to Richie's practical, no nonsense approach, Drill-Ex International brings immediate and real solutions to all drilling situations.

Born into a farming family in Western Australia, Richie started drilling when his father sold the farms. He immediately got a job on a rig and stayed on them ever since. For the first 10 years of his career he traveled around a bit getting experience throughout Western Australia, the Kimberly region the Northern Territory; and then he went to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines. He started his first company Australasian Drilling Services, SDN BHD in Malaysia.
